As of July 2012, I have been the new textile teacher at my school. The question is, do I know how to sew? Hmm… I’ll be honest, I took six sewing lessons prior to the term… Eek! I did ok, I survived and was able to teach my kids the basics. Everyone passed and they got to take home a cute little library bag.
Enough about work… Once I started my sewing lesson I made it my goal to make a cute vintage skirt each week to wear to school. I love the old school teacher look. It’s all about class! I love wearing my cute little court heels,a high waist skirt and pastel cardigan to match. It’s totally stepford right?
I have been using a really simple pattern from Burda style (7229). Originally the pattern uses four panels for the skirt I have been using three so there is less gathering (It looks way to puffy – don’t like it at all). What do you think? More pics to come!
